AHF Philippines was officially registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on February 9th, 2017. Since its inception, AHF has worked closely with community-based groups, local government units, and hospitals at various levels, including provincial, city, municipal, and Department of Health (DOH)-retained regional hospitals. Currently operating in seven out of the country’s 17 regions, AHF has established a strong presence in HIV prevention and treatment across the Philippines and is set to expand further by forming partnerships with two additional sites in the Davao Region/Mindanao.

AHF-supported sites are recognized by the DOH and local governments, offering a comprehensive range of services. Currently, AHF Philippines supports 27 healthcare sites, with eight of them providing combination prevention services. These services include HIV and STI screenings, free distribution of condoms and lubricants, and access to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). These offerings are also available at local government unit-owned primary health centers, ensuring a wider reach across diverse communities.

In 2017, AHF entered into a partnership with The Love Yourself (TLY), a well-known non-government organization that caters specifically to the needs of men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender individuals. Additionally, AHF partnered with a local government-run HIV facility and the San Lazaro Hospital, an infectious disease hospital that was the first in the country to offer HIV treatment. These partnerships are primarily based in the National Capital Region (NCR), where over 50% of the clients accessing HIV treatment services in the Philippines reside.
