Looking For HIV Testing in Nepal? Find HIV Center

AHF Nepal has been providing HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and care services since 2009 and collaborates with government ART clinics to deliver quality services in HIV prevention, testing, treatment, care, and support.

In November 2022, AHF Nepal signed a five-year Project Agreement with the Social Welfare Council and a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Health and Population. Under the technical guidance of the National Centre for AIDS and STD Control, AHF Nepal implemented a project titled “Sustaining the Gain: Strengthening HIV Prevention, Testing, Treatment, and Care Services at ART Clinics of Nepal.”

AHF Nepal collaborates with 20 ART clinics (19 government-run and one NGO-operated) across 18 districts, serving over 57% of clients receiving care in the country. The program aims to contribute to the country’s goal of achieving the 95:95:95 global targets by 2026 and ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030, while reducing inequalities. AHF Nepal focuses on ensuring high-quality service delivery within the framework of universal health coverage, supported by national policies and strategies.

AHF Nepal provides HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and care services, including free condoms, broadcasting HIV services, positive prevention counseling, rapid screening, client education, and capacity-building training. Quality service delivery is ensured through PDA, CSS, and testing data audits. AHF Nepal has been recognized for its exceptional service delivery from its collaborating hospitals and provincial Health Directorates.

Additionally, AHF Nepal enhances recording, reporting, and counseling services to diagnose and treat co-infections as outlined by the National HIV Program.
