To emphasize that HIV / AIDS is truly a global epidemic, floral materials from 6 continents (Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North and South America) are featured throughout the float. An abundance of floral materials have been used to create the flags. Over 30,000 brilliant red Charlotte roses create the 17- foot tall AIDS ribbon running the length of the float. The world globe, decorated in contrasting golden clover seed and gold strawflower petals. sits atop a floral platform with recessed steps of white roses.
