Los Angeles-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) has been providing cutting-edge treatment and advocacy for people living with HIV/AIDS since 1987. Today, the nonprofit provides treatment and care to 739603 people in 38 countries around the world, regardless of their ability to pay. Supported by its not-for-profit business lines, AHF Pharmacy and Out of the Closet Thrift Stores, this public health organization continues to expand access to affordable treatment for HIV and other STDs through new locations of specialized HIV clinics known as AHF Healthcare Centers and AHF Wellness Centers, which provide free testing and treatment for gonorrhea, Chlamydia, and syphilis. In addition to ongoing HIV testing events and sexual health education campaigns worldwide, AHF is also provides services to treat Hepatitis C in the United States and tuberculosis through global programs.
