Conflict of Interest Disclosure (Non-US)
What is a conflict of interest?
A conflict of interest is when you or someone close to you could get a personal advantage from a decision by AHF. You may have a conflict if, for example:
- AHF is hiring someone who is your relative (like a niece, nephew, cousin, or partner).
- Your relative works for a company that wants to work with AHF.
- Your relative works at AHF and you are trying to do business with AHF.
Why should you share it?
If conflicts are not shared, people may think the process is unfair or even corrupt. Sharing helps protect you and AHF’s reputation. Conflicts are not always a problem, but they must be shared so AHF can stay a fair organization. For example, if your brother is applying for a job at AHF, you must disclose this, so AHF can keep you out of the hiring process.
Share a Conflict of Interest
After you share your conflict of interest, we will review your report and tell you what to do next (if anything). If you are not sure whether you have a conflict, please fill out the form anyway. We can help you figure it out.
Do you have A gift to disclose?
Sometimes, people outside of AHF may want to give you a gift like a present or special hospitality or perks. You should generally decline gifts graciously, because otherwise it can look like you or AHF are unfairly favoring the giver. If refusing the gift would embarrass the giver unnecessarily, you can accept the gift, but you must accept it on behalf of your department and AHF, share it with your office, and disclose it here and to your manager.
Looking to report fraud or corruption?
If you are trying to report fraud, corruption, or misuse of AHF money or supplies (not an HR issue), please use our Fraud & Corruption Reporting page.
