Dare and Don’t Let Anything Stop You!

In Mexico by AHF

AHF’s Mexico City Wellness Center kicked off a new #Test&Treat campaign with a spectacular press conference at the Club Piso 51. AHF México ambassador for the event, actress Sandra Echeverria, sent out a message especially for young people: a free and responsible sexuality, with no taboos.

The 30-year-old actress explained that the campaign addresses prevention methods so young people can avoid any STIs, not just HIV, “We need to talk about this so that they know the risks they face to prevent them. They need to know that the virus is not the end of the world as there are treatments to lead a healthy life.”

Impulse and AHF launched the new website http://pruebadevih.com.mx/, also as part of the new campaign, with relevant HIV prevention and testing information to ensure that the population in the country can find what they need in an easy and timely manner. “We wanted to ensure that people who look for information on HIV, who usually look for testing too, can reach the site easily and in their own language,” said Itziar Sanz, Marketing Coordinator for LATAM.

The messages about the healthy lifestyle promoted by the campaign are audacious and educational at the same time, “Dare! Don’t let anything stop you! Dare to get tested and know your status.” The campaign promotes services that are friendly, free and confidential at the Wellness Center in Zona Rosa in Mexico City.

The activities are part of AHF’s 20×20 campaign and efforts in Mexico to identify at least 2,000 HIV positive and link them to care and treatment.
