Dallas Voice: World AIDS Day Dallas set for Dec. 1 at Main Street Garden downtown

In Advocacy by AHF

More than 30 sponsors and partnering organizations will participate in World AIDS Day Dallas on Dec. 1, according to the event’s steering committee. The businesses, individuals, nonprofit organizations and community groups will come together with the goal of “getting to zero” — zero new HIV infections, zero discrimination and zero AIDS-related deaths.

Community leaders and AIDS activists will speak as part of the program, which includes local musicians and entertainers. A healthy living expo will run throughout the event.

AIDS Interfaith Network is hosting the event and heading up planning. Partnership and sponsorship opportunities are still available. For more information, contact AIN’s Travis Gasper at 214-500-9101 or [email protected].

World AIDS Day Dallas will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Main Street Garden, 1900 Main St. in downtown Dallas.
