Former NBA star Magic Johnson and a national foundation announced plans Thursday to open an AIDS health clinic in Fort Worth.
The clinic will be built inside the AIDS Outreach Center at 400 N. Beach St. and should open by the early summer, officials said. It will include a pharmacy, eight examination rooms and a resident doctor.
The project is a partnership among the outreach center, Johnson and the nonprofit AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Johnson announced the plans — as well as those for new clinics in Brooklyn and Atlanta — during World AIDS Day activities in Los Angeles.
