AHF, a major provider of HIV/AIDS care in South Africa, shares in the grief in the loss of President Nelson Mandela, the father of Modern Day South Africa.
DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA (December 5, 2013) AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the largest global AIDS organization, today expressed condolences to the people of South Africa on the passing of President Nelson Mandela.
“We’ve lost an important voice in the global battle against AIDS with the passing of President Nelson Mandela today,” said Michael Weinstein, President of AIDS Healthcare Foundation, in a statement. “For over a decade, AHF has been a major provider of lifesaving care and treatment in South Africa, where we care for over 37,000 adults and children living with HIV/AIDS. We offer our sympathies and share in the grief of the people of South Africa in the loss of the father of modern day South Africa.”
