Marisa Nichavee, J.D.

Marisa Nichavee, serves as Chief of Staff. She draws on her legal and education background to guide strategy, foster collaboration, and strengthen systems that support both organizational excellence and employee growth.

Marisa began her career at AHF as line staff and, through her commitment to the organization’s mission, advanced into leadership. That journey grounds her perspective that every role within the organization matters and that dedication to service can create lasting impact.

Before stepping into leadership, Marisa served in education, working in underserved communities and witnessing firsthand the importance of access, equity, and advocacy. She holds a Juris Doctor, which anchors her work in equity, justice, and service. These experiences continue to shape her leadership philosophy and reinforce her commitment to being a voice for those who need it most.

Outside of work, Marisa enjoys traveling, exploring different cuisines, cheering on the Dodgers, and spending time with her family. She also loves the company of her two energetic dogs, who bring daily joy and balance to her life.
