“We will be providing fresh produce to members of the community as they prepare for the holidays,” said Ingrid Floyd, Executive Director of Iris House. “Given the increase in food costs and the number of families in the community who rely on SNAP benefits, this market will help to offset costs as families prepare to have children out of school for the holiday break.”

Items to be distributed include eggs, milk, vegetables, including red and green peppers, cabbage, cucumbers, yellow Spanish onions, yellow squash and potatoes as well as apples and bananas.

Iris House’s Plainfield site eventually will house a new, state-of-the-art AHF Healthcare Center providing cutting-edge medical care and services to patients regardless of ability to pay and will also feature an AHF Pharmacy Access Center.
