Ebola – The AHF Response

In Global Advocacy, Sierra Leone by Fiona Ip

Enveloped by a raging Ebola outbreak in 2014, the AHF clinical program in Sierra Leone remained on duty to continue caring for its patients amid the storm. We invite you to watch “Ebola – The AHF Response,” a 22-minute documentary film about our efforts to help Sierra Leone in the early days of the outbreak when the global response was slow to come.

Today, Ebola is in the headlines again due to an outbreak in the Congo. The world paid dearly four years ago for responding too slowly—over 11,000 people lost their lives. Let us hope these tragic lessons are not ignored as we face the possibility of another global public health crisis.

Please watch and share the film with your family and friends to help raise awareness about global outbreak preparedness.
