Fund The Fund Campaign Hits Berlin

In Global by AHF

Here’s the latest update on the Fund the Fund campaign from our very own Denis Godlevskiy in the field:

On July 5th, AHF’s Ukrainian-Russian-Dutch-German team marched from the historic Brandenburg Gate to German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s office to demand a fair contribution to the Global Fund from Germany.

From the Eastern European side, the team was supported by ITPCru, All-Ukrainian Network, national Ukrainian organizations and activists. Representatives of the Alliance against AIDS Germany also joined the march.

AHF Europe Bureau’s ‘Road to Berlin’ advocacy mobilization culminated in an incredible display of unity and strength in plain view of the German Parliament!

Part of the group—about 30 activists—traveled more than 1,000 miles by bus from Kiev, Ukraine to make it happen.
