Keep The Promise Webisode 5: Global Advocates March on Washington at Int’l AIDS Conference

In News by AHF

Global advocates from near and far gathered at the “Keep the Promise” March on Washington rally Sunday, July 25th, 2012 on the opening day of the International AIDS Conference in Washington D.C. HIV+ activist Jenny Boyce of South Africa spoke of her difficult journey since first being diagnosed. “In 2002, I was looking death in the face. But, when I got treatment and made a marvelous recovery I made the decision to stand up and be an example of how HIV treatment works.” Additional advocates, from both the US and around the world—including Mexico, Uganda and Estonia—are featured highlighting regional challenges to HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment access. Each delegate speaks with a unique voice, but with one united message: the need for additional funding for universal access to HIV/AIDS.
