WASHINGTON D.C. (July 23, 2012) AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is proud to host “The HIV Testing Crisis: 34 Million with HIV, Only 14 Million Know it,” a thought-provoking satellite sessions during the XIX International AIDS Conference in Washington D.C. on Monday, July 23, 2012 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm in Session Room 7.  This will be the first in a series of three stimulating talks hosted by AHF and featuring leading experts and innovators in the field of HIV/AIDS.

Access to HIV testing is the missing link in the fight against AIDS. Findings in the recent clinical study HPTN 052 prove that antiretroviral treatment works as prevention. However, effective linkage to care is the biggest obstacle to successful implementation of Treatment as Prevention. Universal Access to treatment cannot be achieved without Universal Access to HIV testing. Join a dialogue about testing and linkage to care as the missing links on the path to reaching Universal Access.
