AIDS Healthcare Foundation is Announcing Request for Proposals
Beginning August 2009, AHF will launch its first effort to support local organizations providing HIV Testing and prevention services in Los Angeles County. A total of $500,000 will be granted with an average award amount of $50,000. The request for proposals will happen in two phases.
Phase 1: Invitations to apply will be mailed to those organizations that are current partners with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s Domestic Testing Initiative. The total amount available for these awards is $300,000. An estimated 4 – 6 agencies will be funded with an average award amount of $50,000.
Phase 2: The request for proposals will be extended to all community based organizations in Los Angeles County with a history and/or interest of providing HIV prevention services. The total amount available for these awards is 200,000. An estimated 3 – 5 agencies will be funded with an average award amount of $50,000.

July 24, 2009 Grant awards announced

Eligibility Requirements
- Agency must provide services in Los Angeles County
- Organizations that have 501(c) (3) status
Guidelines
The proposed program must address the Foundation’s national goals and demonstrate the ability to offer HIV testing and prevention services in the LA County. Priority will be given to those organizations that have a history of serving populations at risk for HIV and/or those organizations that have a strong commitment to sexual health promotion.
