CA Controller Chiang Urges BMS to Cut Price of AIDS Drug Reyataz

Today AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) announced that California State Controller John Chiang has sent a letter to drug giant Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) urging the company to reduce the price of its key HIV/AIDS drug, Reyataz—one of the most expensive first-line AIDS treatment in the U.S.—for California and its AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP).

AIDS Care Model: ‘Test & Treat’— Getting to 10 Million on ARVS

Ft: Lauderdale: AIDS Advocates Protest at Federal Bldg to Save AIDS Drug Program

July 15, 2010

75 protestors gathered outside the Ft. Lauderdale Federal Building in Florida. The coalition of AIDS patients, health care providers and advocates are asking the Obama administration and the Florida Congressional delegation to save the state's ailing AIDS Drug Assistance Program. More than 600 people are on the waiting list to receive lifesaving AIDS drugs in Florida and that list is growing by 250 to 300 people per month. Florida is ranked 3rd in the nation for the most new cases.

AHF Tests 519 People at NAACP Conference

July 14, 2010

AIDS Healthcare Foundation's Magic Johnson Mobile Testing Van, which recently concluding a six month, 48 state national cross country HIV testing tour, made a stop at the 101st National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Conference in Kansas City, Missouri this week for a four-day testing event where over 500 people were tested.
