‘Out of the Closet’ Lands on L.A. Times Top Ten List

By: AIDS Healthcare Foundation
Los Angeles, Ca - January 5, 2009

Ringing in the new year in style, AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s popular and award-winning ‘Out of the Closet’ thrift store chain—the nation’s largest retail fundraising vehicle for HIV/AIDS medical care and research—has landed on the top ten list in a recent Los Angeles Times feature article titled, “The Thrifters.” The article, which ran in the January 3rd edition of the paper’s ‘Home’ section, profiled fashion designer Elizabeth Kramer and real estate agent Robert Heller in their funky downtown Los Angeles live/work loft space, which has been almost entirely appointed with thrift store treasures culled from outlets including AHF’s own ‘Out of the Closet’ chain.
