Susan G. Sanchez, MD

Susan G. Sanchez, MD is a board-certified internist at the Downtown Healthcare Center who specializes in infectious diseases.

In addition to being a fellow in infectious diseases at the Harbor-University of California (UCLA) Medical Center, she was part of the internal medicine staff at New York Medical College/Metropolitan Hospital Center.  She was a respiratory therapist at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the Torrance Memorial Medical Center.  She also served Bontoc General Hospital as a health physician in the Philippines.

Dr. Sanchez has researched pediatric vaccinations in a rural setting at the Baguio City Rural Health Department, Division of Epidemiology and treatment of candidemia and antimicrobial activity at the Harbor-UCLA Division of Infectious Diseases.

Dr. Sanchez holds memberships with the Infectious Disease Association of California, American College of Physicians, and the Saint Louis University Medical Alumni Association.

Dr. Sanchez received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Santo Thomas in Manila, Philippines before becoming a doctor of medicine at Saint Louis University.  She completed her residency and an internship in internal medicine at New York Medical College/Metropolitan Hospital Center prior to becoming a fellow in infectious diseases at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
