Martin D. Finn, MD,MPH

Martin D. Finn, MD, MPH is the Director of Clinical Services at AIDS Healthcare Foundation.  He is also an internist at AHF’s Downtown Los Angeles Healthcare Center.  Dr. Finn chairs the peer review and credentialing committee and oversees Community Health Action Information Network (CHAIN) activities for the Los Angeles Title I Emergency Medical Agency (EMA).  He is a member of the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) Advisory Board. 

Dr. Finn is an expert in HIV/AIDS disease control.  He was key in the development and implementation of programs that applied immunization, education, clinical services, investigation and enforcement for the eradication of communicable diseases at the Los Angeles County of Public Health Services.  As Medical Director of the LA County AIDS Programs, he developed hospital and Department of Health clinic policies and procedures that dealt with HIV-related illnesses.  He also represented the department on HIV-related issues within the private and public sectors of medicine and other interested agencies.

Dr. Finn received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Georgetown University and his medical degree from the Stritch School of Medicine at the University of Chicago, Illinois.  He completed postgraduate work at the School of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and earned a Master of Public Health degree in maternal and child health.  He also completed an internship at Queen of Angels Hospital.  Dr. Finn finalized his residency in preventive medicine at the Los Angeles Public Health Department and his residency in radiology at the Veterans Administration.
