Catherine Chien, MD is a board-certified internist and an AAHIVM-certified HIV specialist at the Downtown and West Adams Healthcare Centers. She is part of the expert team at AIDS Healthcare Foundation, specializing in the treatment and care of people living with HIV/AIDS.
Dr. Chien completed her Bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology at Duke University, graduating magna cum laude. She then went on to complete her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine, again graduating magna cum laude. Her internal medicine residency training was done at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Shortly after, Dr. Chien completed an HIV fellowship program with AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
In addition to local efforts, Dr. Chien has also provided clinical training to providers in rural China through AHF’s Global program.
