Yang Xinyu, MPH

Yang Xinyu is the County Program Coordinator for AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s (AHF) China Program. In this role he is responsible for project design and budget management of the program in the Shanxi, Xinjiang and Guangxi provinces of China. Previously, he served as project officer for the International Cooperation and Project Management Office for the Chinese National Center for AIDS Prevention and Control. Here, he managed the World Bank Health IX Project, a five-year study focusing on four Chinese provinces involved in the HIV epidemic.
Mr. Xinyu received his Bachelor’s Degree of Public Health from Peking University Medical Science School in July 2000. He went on to graduate with a Master’s Degree in International Public Health from the University of Sydney, Australia in June 2005. He also holds an Honors Degree of International Public Health from the University of Sydney, which he received in January 2006. Mr. Xinyu’s postgraduate research involved a nutrition supplementation project involving AIDS patients at one of the largest community-based health clinics in Sydney and studied how nutrition can promote effective antiretroviral treatment.
Mr. Xinyu frequently attends national AIDS conferences on behalf of AHF. He was asked to submit an article and present a poster at the Asia Pacific AIDS Conference in Sri Lanka in 2007.
