Nguyen Thi Thu Hang, MD, MPH is Country Program Coordinator for AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), Vietnam. As Country Program Coordinator, Dr. Nguyen designs, implements, manages, and monitors the quality of HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs in selected provinces of Vietnam. She is responsible for collaborating with Ministry of Health officials and the Vietnam Administration of AIDS Control to conduct pilot programs such as AHF’s HIV Medics Training and to develop IEC materials and national guidelines such as the Circular of Definition of Terminal Stage of AIDS.
Before joining AHF, Dr. Nguyen was Senior Program Officer for POLICY Project Vietnam from 2005 to 2007. She also served as Program Officer for World Vision International in Hanoi, Vietnam and worked as a marketing supervisor and medical representative for pharmaceutical companies in Hanoi.
Dr. Nguyen received her Master in Public Health with a specialty in Environmental and International Health from Monash University, Australia in December 2003. She completed specialized training in Pediatrics from Hanoi Medical University, Vietnam in 1995 and received her Medical Degree from Thai Nguyen Medical University, Vietnam in 1993.
She is fluent in both Vietnamese and English.
