I aave been living with HIV since 1994 and thanks to my medications are in good health, however if my circumstances change in the future I may need assistance at places such as Linn House.
Linn House needs to stay open!

I think this is the last of services that should be cut. The costs of homeless patients, ie people who benefit from Linn House are going to be huge if this happens. The costs outweigh the benefits by a huge margin, not to mention quality of life for those affected.

Congress should listen to those in the trenches, those whose life work is dedicated to saving lives and alleviating the pain and suffering of those living with HIV. If there is no requirements on such funding then, like the Michael Weinstein suggests, it is doomed to be spent unwisely. How can we feed and empower those who have died from the disease due to a lack of life-saving medications? Congress has a long history of spending sumptuously on pedestrian items without thought of where the money is coming from and why people have originally lobbied for it. However, with PEPFAR there is one main undeniable objective: saving lives through medication. It seems as though with the current administration's behavior of cutting programs, they are attempting to use these funds to make up some of the losses.

I have also been living with HIV since 1994. I have also been a client of AHF for the past 13 years. Thanks to the wonderful people at this organization, I am alive today and in great health! I know that AHF and Positive Healthcare Partners have made this same difference in many lives. Linn House is an important part of this needed organization. I pray that the "powers that be" find it in their heart to allow this facility to remain in operation.

I am not surprise at what the Housing Department of LA is about to do. I was wondering why it took so long to catch to AHF missed management of HOPWA funds, or misrepresentation of services. When I used to be part of the HIV Commission, I never failed to noticed that AHF was always too aggressive in lobbying us commissioners for funds to run their clinics from the Ryan White Title 11, yet there were too many patients at local AHF's clinics requesting copayment for services. I think that when AHF requested funds to run the Linn House it was a great and innovated concept, unfortunately, Linn House was not what it was promised to us, the community at Large, Why did AHF turn those rooms into "Upscale Offices" instead of continue the STAR Care for people with failed HIV medications or housed people living with HIV from HOPWA Funds...?? Why tell me.. So now you need our community support.. What a Shame the AHF are once again using HIV scary tactics to get their abuse to continue.
