The Epidemic
Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa, and consequently, has one of the largest populations of people living with HIV in the world – second only to South Africa’s. An estimated 2.5 million children in Nigeria have been orphaned by AIDS.
AHF in Nigeria
AHF Nigeria is among AHF’s youngest international operations in Africa. As of mid-2011, the organization has been officially registered and preparations are underway for the accreditation of two program sites.
