An Independent Voice

For those who often have no voice, limited resources and misinformation with regards to their future care and treatment, AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is an independent voice that influences change.

A leading advocacy organization in addition to being the nation’s largest HIV/AIDS medical provider, AHF’s dedication to advocating for the patient’s it serves has never diminished.

AHF has been a strong leader in domestic HIV/AIDS advocacy in the United States since 1988 – at local, state and federal levels. We have fought drug companies, governments and bureaucratics with a sense of urgency.

AHF also has a reputation as a global advocate, having first joined with South African AIDS activists in 2000 to advocate against the then South African government policy banning the distribution and use of life-saving antiretroviral drugs. The result was the Ithembalabantu Clinic (“People’s Hope’). Today, the People’s Hope clinic treats 2,000 people, 70 percent of whom are women – most with children.
