William Arroyo, M.D.

William Arroyo, M.D., is a regional medical director of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) and clinical assistant professor of psychiatry at Keck USC School of Medicine. He represents LACDMH in program development and policy implementation efforts in mental health at both the county and state levels. He is principal investigator for a project funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and serves on several state and national advisory bodies that address juvenile justice reform, prison reform, health and mental health issues. Arroyo has published in the mental health areas of psychological trauma, psychiatric ethics, school mental health, juvenile justice and cross-cultural issues.
