Laura Nelson

Chief Financial Officer

Laura Nelson manages AHF’s day-to-day financial affairs and risks, performing financial planning and reporting, analysis of data, and staff management.

Nelson was formerly employed as the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Operation Hope, Inc. in Los Angeles, managing all financial and business affairs for the national nonprofit. From 1998 to 2001, she was the chief financial officer for XFX, Inc. of Burbank, a special effects company in the entertainment industry. She held similar positions at Cal Start, Inc. in Pasadena and Planned Parenthood in Orange, California.

Nelson is a graduate of Antioch University in Los Angeles, where she received a master’s degree in organizational management in 1992 and a bachelor’s degree in business in 1984.
